Friend Garrison – I have a item of abolition intelligence to furnish you, from this cold and snowy quarter of ‘The Land of Liberty.’’
The friends of emancipation here have ventured to form an Anti-Slavery Society…….we have committed ourselves by organization and choices of officers;--- a list of whom I send you below.………. There can scarcely be found a safer village in all the free States, for the trial of an anti-slavery experiment, than ours. A Female Anti-Slavery Society is in formation here.
