Content: An Anti-Slavery Society was formed in Barnstable, February 13, 1835

The following Officers were chosen: Zaccheus Hamblin, Esq., President;
Capt. Timothy Baker, Mr. Charles Goodspeed, Warren Marchant, Esq. Vice Presidents;
Rev. D. Chessman, Cor. Sec’y;
Freeman Marchant, Esq., Rec. Sec’y
Otis Loring, Esq., Treasurer.

The Society now consists of 109 members; 92of which were obtained after the delivery of addresses on March 17, at the Baptist Meeting.
